In case of emergencies (such as leakage or power outages), you can call the phone number listed on the house rules board in your accommodation.
Follow the house rules: leave everything clean, don’t cause disturbance and report any damage immediately.

Als je in Nederland woont en werkt, heb je een DigiD nodig. Daarmee log je in bij de overheid om bijvoorbeeld zorgtoeslag aan te vragen of je belasting te regelen.

Naast een goede woning zijn er een aantal zaken die je verplicht moet regelen om in Nederland te mogen wonen en werken. Bekijk ze hier:
As soon as you come to live in the Netherlands, you must register at the municipality where you are staying within 5 days. This is required to receive your BSN (Citizen Service Number). Iedereen die in Nederland werkt, moet een basiszorgverzekering hebben. Hiermee ben je verzekerd voor huisartsbezoeken, ziekenhuiszorg en medicijnen. De premie ligt gemiddeld rond de €130 per maand. Vaak heb je recht op zorgtoeslag, een bijdrage van de overheid die een deel van je premie vergoedt. Vergelijk zorgverzekeringen via Independer
Zodra je in Nederland werkt en inkomen verdient, ben je hier belastingplichtig. Dat betekent dat je over je salaris loonbelasting en premies betaalt. In de meeste gevallen houdt je werkgever of uitzendbureau dit automatisch in en draag je het af aan de Belastingdienst. Je moet dit wel jaarlijks zelf doorgeven via de belasting aangifte.
Niet verplicht, maar je loopt waarschijnlijk geld mis als je er niets mee doet. In Nederland heb je namelijk vaak recht op zorgtoeslag of huurtoeslag. Die vraag je aan via de Belastingdienst. Het is slim om meteen na je inschrijving te checken waar je recht op hebt. Meer info via de Belastingdienst
Neem persoonlijke spullen mee zoals beddengoed, handdoeken en kleding. Basismeubilair regelen wij.
Houd bij eigen huisvesting rekening met gemeentelijke belastingen (afval, riool). Heb je huisvesting via Job Invest, dan betalen wij die.
